Manchester United Playmaker, Juan Mata has little time left in his contract and Juventus are already
waiting for Manchester United to lag in his contract renewal so they could bag him down to Allianz
stadium.
Juventus are lurking should United fail to get Mata to extend his stay at Old Trafford before the turn
of the year, having started to feature more regularly under Jose Mourinho. Mourinho would like to
keep him, but there has been a failure to negotiate new deals yet for both the 30 year old and his
fellow Spaniard, Ander Herrera.
Herrera is a perfectly able third midfielder, but with the one-note performances of Nemanja Matic,
the signing of Fred, and the lack of consistency from Paul Pogba, just playing adequately is not
enough for this United side. Mata, meanwhile has been in better form of late and his personality
means that if wages allow, he should always be kept in the squad. It is hard to see why a move to
Juventus would see him get more time on the pitch, given he is not as good as their current options.
