MAN CITY VS TOTTENHAM: AFTER MATCH ANALYSIS

Manchester City triumphed over Tottenham by a goal to nil, depriving Spurs of 3 points. Many fans expeted tbe match to end in a tie but Guardiola's boys were too wise to have hearkened unto the voice of their boss and did exactly as the Genius asked them to.

With all that is going on at the Wembly Stadium, the home side had chances to have converted the changes on the pitch into an advantage unto them being a place they have known and played for long. Pochettino isn't as experienced as Guardiola, I guess that is why Pep took advantage of Pochettino ignorance on the pitch expansion and marks.

I noticed a slight difference on the pitch size, it is a bit bigger than it used to be, and also marks that tend to be distracting. Although the match started on a platform of energy and determination from both teams, Tottenham erased the fear of playing against defending champions that is currently inform than they are, and Manchester city overcame the home advantage syndrome.

Despite the good start from both side, Tottenham's right back, Trippler failed to stop a dreadful pull out from Manchester's keeper, Ederson, and letting Raheem Sterling to get hold of the ball and utilized the opportunity to deliver an easy pass to their right winger, Mahrez who showed  up right on time and drove the ball past the keeper without stress and placing them one goal ahead of Pochettino's side.

The goal awoke Tottenham a bit but Manchester City were still in charge and putting pressures on them until close to the end of the first half that Harry Kane got hold of the ball at a very strategic point and fired a shot that went over the wood-work but definitely the keeper no idea of the ball's path.

The second half started and the Spurs were willing to make amendments but the defensive plans of Guardiola won't let them through. Multiple attempts but yet Man. City got hold of the ball and also the possession as well.

Until the 67th minute, Pochettino had to switch his resources because he was running out of time and as well needed to get at least one point out of the match. The manager introduced Harry Winks to the mid-field at the expense of Eric Dier. A great change came into the match with Winks, Tottenham now possessed the ball than Manchester City just after 3 minutes of the substitution of Winks for Dier.

70minutes past and Guardiola had reasons to Aguero with De Bruyne this action caused Pochettino to hasten the introduction of Dele Ali into the field and taking Moussa Dembele off the pitch. This was clearly an advantage for the home side, but not until Lamela failed to place the ball into the net, Ali was the man who gave the pass to Lamela after taking advantage of the excess pressure placed on Mahrez by him and Sissoko.

Pochettino almost frustrated by the match decided to bring in Eriksen to replace Lucas Moura, but that was at the 82nd minute and the referee, Kevin Friend.
Multiple chances came for spurs but they failed to  convert it into a goal. This continued to the 89 and 93rd miunuted that Guardiola used the substitution of Vincent Kompany for David Silva and Jesus for Mahrez, the ball ended in a failed Tottenham attack that was pulled out from Manchester City's 18 yards box. Leaving Manchester city at the top of the league table.
